Copperfield's-CWC Marin Local Author Bookshelf

Be a part of the alliance between CWC Marin and Copperfield’s Books!

Copperfield’s in Larkspur Landing has agreed to feature books by CWC Marin authors on a dedicated shelf in their Local Authors section.

How it works: CWC members may submit a book for consideration (one at a time) to Board member Daniel Bacon (email daniel_bacon@prodigy.net). Daniel will review the submissions and forward them to Copperfield’s.

Copperfield’s Books manager will select five titles every four months. If your book is chosen, you will deliver five copies to the store. (If you have an Ingram-Spark account, Copperfield’s should be able to order them).

How will books be chosen? Books must meet a professional standard, including cover, formatting, and content. All genres welcomed. If your book isn’t chosen due to space limitations, you are welcome to resubmit for the next round. To increase the chances of your book being chosen, authors are encouraged to submit a brief marketing plan for selling your books. Ideally, marketing should direct readers to buy your book at Copperfield’s.

Marketing: CWC will announce the chosen books to our 400+ newsletter subscribers.

Unsold books: Authors must pick up any unsold copies after the four-month period. (Books ordered from Ingram-Spark can probably be returned).

Payments: Copperfield’s will accept books directly from authors on a consignment basis and will pay authors directly for books sold. (45% discount from the retail price is standard) Authors providing books through Ingram-Spark will receive their payments from IS. CWC Marin will not be involved in payments.< Questions?
