This presentation will cover content including what to know before you query, how to write an effective query, and what mistakes to avoid when querying.

About the Speaker:

Danielle Barthel began her career in publishing as an intern at Writers House, and got her first job out of college at New Leaf Literary & Media, Inc., an agency that represents children’s and adult fiction and nonfiction. After five years in agenting, Danielle switched gears to focus solely on freelance editing, and has been freelancing on various projects for almost six years. She is one of a team of editors at Writer’s Digest working with individual writers to perfect their queries.
